Only You's second draft is done! And this time, it felt right. I like the tweaks I made to the characters, the overall plot change, and I had the chance to add some more cute stuff in, which is always a bonus as a romance novelist. Between now and March 1st, I'll be in a heavy edit mode. I need to do my beta edits for Dance for You, my editorial edits for Waiting for You, and my preliminary edits for Only You. It's a lot for 19 days, and I'm not sure I will quite finish it all, but I'm feeling hopeful.
Then, I'll spend March writing the first book in my next series, releasing And Then It Was You, and doing fun stuff for Dance for You, like cover art and final read throughs. Eek! On the reading front, I'm mostly doing beta reads BUT I started Tikka a Chance on Me and it's really cute. I got the recommendation via twitter one day when everyone was posting about what a great read it was, so I bought it, but it has sat on my kindle. I finally picked it up, and it's very fun. Pinky is a fun and relatable heroine, and, I mean, Trucker just SOUNDS hot. I'm about 50% of the way through, and I have a feeling I'll be finishing it before bed tonight. I do a lot of my reading in the dark since my husband goes to bed about an hour earlier than I do, so fun romances on my kindle are my savior. I hope you are having a fun weekend. It's still cold and generally miserable here, so a great time to cozy up with a book/ beta read/ manuscript! Love always, Lucy
